Supplier Code of Conduct
Applies To: All suppliers, subcontractors, raw material providers, co-packers, logistics partners, and any entity involved in the sourcing, manufacturing, packaging, storage, or transport of Shake Your Plants products.
Shake Your Plants (“SYP”) is committed to producing safe, high-quality, plant-forward beverage and nutritional products that meet regulatory requirements and promote consumer wellness. We expect all suppliers to uphold the highest standards of safety, sustainability, ethics, integrity, and transparency.
This Supplier Code of Conduct (“Code”) outlines the minimum standards expected of all suppliers doing business with SYP.
1. Product Safety & Quality
1.1 Regulatory Compliance
Suppliers must comply with all relevant local, national, and international regulations governing:

Beverage, supplement, and wellness product safety (e.g., FDA, EFSA, TGA, Health Canada).

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/GFSI/BRC, as required).

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Labeling, claims, and ingredient approval requirements.
1.2 Ingredient Standards
All supplied ingredients—plant-based powders, botanicals, extracts, sweeteners, flavors, or functional additives—must:

Meet agreed-upon specifications and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

Be free from contaminants including heavy metals, pesticides, mycotoxins, and microbials above regulatory limits.

Be traceable to their country and, when applicable, region of origin.

Not be adulterated, substituted, or diluted.
1.3 Transparency & Documentation
Suppliers must provide:

COAs for every batch.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Allergen statements.

Non-GMO, organic, vegan, Halal/Kosher certificates (when applicable).

Full supply-chain traceability upon request.
2. Ethical Business Practices
2.1 Anti-Corruption & Fair Competition
Suppliers must:

Prohibit all forms of bribery, fraud, and corruption.

Conduct business honestly, transparently, and fairly.

Accurately maintain records and documentation.
2.2 Conflicts of Interest
Any potential conflicts must be reported to SYP immediately.

Suppliers must protect all proprietary formulas, product information, and confidential data related to SYP.
3. Labor & Human Rights
3.1 Fair Labor Practices
Suppliers must provide:

3.2 Ban on Child Labor
Suppliers must not employ individuals under legal working age or in roles that endanger safety or development.

Suppliers must maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-controlled working environment, especially for facilities handling ingestible materials.
4. Environmental Sustainability
4.1 Responsible Sourcing
Suppliers must:

Protect biodiversity, especially for botanicals and herbal ingredients.

Uphold regenerative or sustainable agricultural practices where possible.
4.2 Environmental Impact Reduction
Suppliers should work toward:

Minimizing packaging waste.

Avoiding harmful chemicals and pollutants.
4.3 Compliance With Environmental Regulations
All local and international environmental laws must be met or exceeded.
5. Manufacturing & Operational Standards
5.1 Facility Expectations
Suppliers must:

Ensure proper storage conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity controls).

Implement pest-control procedures.
5.2 Handling & Distribution
Logistics partners must:

Use sanitized, food-safe transport vehicles.

Adhere to cold-chain or shelf-stable handling requirements.

Prevent cross-contamination with allergens or hazardous materials.
5.3 Audit Rights
SYP reserves the right to:

Terminate relationships for severe or repeated violations.
6. Social & Community Impact
Suppliers are encouraged to:

7. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Suppliers should collaborate with SYP to:

8. Reporting & Accountability
8.1 Reporting Non-Compliance
Suppliers must promptly notify SYP of:

Potential contamination issues or recalls.

Regulatory investigations or safety incidents.
9. Acceptance of the Code
By doing business with Shake Your Plants, suppliers acknowledge and agree to comply with this Supplier Code of Conduct. Failure to meet these expectations may result in corrective action, suspension, or termination of the business relationship.
