HOW WE DO IT

We understand the environmental impact of producing, packaging, and distributing raw material ingredients, as well as the uncertainty of where product packaging goes once you've consumed it.

On one hand, the production of any type of product uses resources and creates some kind of footprint on the planet. On the other hand, more than 20% of fruit, veg, and superfood produce (aka ugly produce or surplus) never gets to leave the farm. This unwanted produce then becomes known as lost resources. In the supply chain of distribution, lost resources are considered food waste.  And food waste is responsible for 8% of carbon emissions.

We believe that the most efficient way to make a difference in the future of the planet is to target carbon emissions and create options that are sustainably produced. How do we do it?

Raw ingredients - We have a unique supply chain of partners who are aligned with our environmental and ethical values and standards from production to distribution. At the moment 40% of our ingredients come from lost produce. This means that nearly half of our powdered drinks are made using lost raw ingredients.

Packaging - When choosing our packaging we need to ensure it will safely protect our ingredients. It’s important to us that we are able to maintain the quality of the ingredients from production to the moment you SYP. The best solution we have found so far is to use aluminum foil, paper, and a thin layer of recycled plastic, which we collectively offset, making our sachets plastic and carbon neutral.
